Why an ASOBAL Hall of Fame?
The ASOBAL Hall of Fame is a platform that seeks to celebrate elite handball in Spain by honouring the people who have shaped and enriched the history of our league. We want to share their careers, milestones and experiences with future generations.
Merits and Awards Committee
The Merits and Awards Committee is made up of authorities, associations and a selection of historic ASOBAL clubs. It is responsible for deciding who will be part of the list of nominees in this edition.
Hall of Fame Jury
The jury, together with the public vote, decides the nominees who finally enter the ASOBAL Hall of Fame for this edition.
Selection Process
The selection process has the following phases:
- LIST OF NOMINEES: The ASOBAL Merits and Awards Committee presents a shortlist of nominees for each of the Hall of Fame categories. They must meet the selection criteria set by ASOBAL to be included on the list.
- VOTING: Once presented, the voting period begins. The list is sent to the members of the jury and published on ASOBAL's online platforms for the public vote.
- INDUCTION: Once the voting period is closed, the members with the highest number of votes are inducted into the hall.
